Steve T. Hastings
Mr. Hastings graduated from Baylor Law School in 1980 and has devoted his practice to the trial of serious cases for more than 30 years. During that time period, he has tried over 120 matters to jury verdicts including six in excess of $10,000,000. His experience in the courtroom has resulted in a Top Ten in Texas jury verdict for his clients and others which were Top Fifty and One Hundred in the United States. He has been nominated as Trial Lawyer of the Year at both state and national levels and is noted as a top 100 trial lawyer at the national level. He has been named a Texas Super Lawyer and has been awarded a rating of AV preeminent which is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
Mr. Hastings is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, American Association of Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and Attorney Information Exchange Group. He is admitted to practice law in Texas and has argued cases to the Texas Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in Federal Courts and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Hastings and his wife Tammy have three children. When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family hunting, scuba diving, and racing his sailboat. His sailing adventures include two races across the Pacific Ocean from Los Angeles, California to Honolulu, Hawaii.
Henry M. Blackmon
Since 2000 Mr. Blackmon has been assisting Plaintiffs in all types of personal injury litigation. While in law school he was employed by a Houston law firm that represented Plaintiffs in class action and toxic tort cases. In 2003 Mr. Blackmon moved back to his hometown of Corpus Christi and joined the Hastings Law Firm. He primarily handles auto product defects, catastrophic trucking crashes, and accidents at oil field, construction and other industrial locations. His results for his clients include numerous multi-million dollar settlements and two trial verdicts in excess of $10,000.000.00 with one particular case gaining recognition as being within the Top 100 Jury Verdicts of 2005 in the United States.
Mr. Blackmon is licensed to practice law in the Texas courts and the United States District Courts with admissions in the Southern, Western, and Eastern districts of Texas. He routinely assists clients with matters in various states across the U.S. He is a past board member of the Corpus Christi Bar Association and is a current a member of the Hidalgo County Bar and Corpus Christi Bar. Mr. Blackmon is also an active in the Attorney Information Exchange Group and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. In 2013 he was awarded a rating of AV preeminent for his representation meeting the high criteria of ethical standards and legal ability. Mr. Blackmon was also selected for membership in the National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers organization. The membership exemplifies those with superior qualifications, trial results and leadership.
When he is able to enjoy free time, Mr. Blackmon spends his days with his family and in the outdoors boating, fishing and hunting. He also donates his time to various clubs and charities.
